Hey, I'm
Ashlyn! I'm 17 years old, and am a senior at North Forsyth High School. I've
been playing since i was about 7 for the Forsyth Rowdies, I stayed with the
Rowdies until they turned into Fusion, which I then played for up until I
was in 7th grade. I didn't play club again till sophomore year and switched
to ASA, and made the varsity team that year, but unfortunately my grades
enabled me to play. But I've fixed that :) And my junior year I was in
Chicago and played for Galaxy and my school team. Other than my junior year,
I've lived in Cumming my whole life. Soccer has made me a really outgoing
person, so I would not be the person I am now without it. I've only tried three other sports in my entire life: gymnastics, softball, and swimming. I gave up on the first two early on, and swam my freshman and sophomore years and was and alternate for state. My school's team in Chicago was called a "JV 1" team but the skill on that team is equivalent to that of varsity at North. I played forward for the most part, my coach would put me at wing sometimes and he leaned that it really wasn't my thing. I hope to play soccer in college, and I plan on going to Carthage University in Kenosha, Wisconsin. It is a division three school, but the campus is absolutely beautiful on the shores of Lake Michigan. I love this sport and am a big fan of team bonding, so I hope there ready :)! I've played with handfuls of girls that want to play as a single, well unfortunately for them it's a team sport. I know most of us have never played together before, but hey a day is wasted when your not learning something new. I'm looking forward to the season :) |
